Terms of Service

The terms that apply when you browse Unmow, order a seed kit, or use the guidance and maps we provide alongside it.

1. Who These Terms Cover

These terms apply to anyone who visits the Unmow website, places an order for a seed kit, or otherwise uses the planting maps, guides, and reference materials we make available alongside our products. By browsing our pages or placing an order, you agree to the terms set out here. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, we ask that you refrain from using the site or placing an order.

Unmow operates as a supplier of native wildflower seed kits and related reference materials for gardeners across the United Kingdom. Nothing in these terms is intended to limit your statutory rights as a consumer.

2. Orders and Availability

Seed kits and related products listed on our site are subject to availability. Certain regional mixes are seasonal, and stock of a particular kit may be limited depending on the time of year, harvest yield of native seed suppliers, and demand within a given region. We reserve the right to limit quantities of any kit, product, or accessory, and to discontinue a regional mix at any time without prior notice.

When you place an order through our site, you are making an offer to purchase the listed products at the listed price. We may accept or decline any order at our discretion, including where a listed price or description contains an error, where stock is unexpectedly unavailable, or where we suspect an order has been placed fraudulently.

Prices displayed on the site are shown in pounds sterling and may be subject to change without notice. Any change in price will not affect orders that have already been confirmed.

3. Regional Seed Mixes and Accuracy of Guidance

Our seed kits are matched to broad regional soil types, rainfall bands, and pollinator populations based on publicly available ecological data and our own internal seed library. While we take care to match each kit to the region it is intended for, garden conditions vary enormously from plot to plot, and no seed mix, planting map, or guide can account for every microclimate, drainage pattern, or existing soil condition on an individual property.

Germination rates, flowering timelines, and eventual meadow composition described on our site or included with a kit are provided as general guidance only. They are not a guarantee of a specific outcome for any individual garden. Local weather, soil disturbance history, existing seed banks in the soil, mowing regimes, and grazing or wildlife pressure can all affect results, and these factors are outside our control.

4. Use of Website Content

All text, planting maps, illustrations, product descriptions, and other content published on this site remain the property of Unmow unless otherwise stated. You are welcome to view and print pages of the site for your own personal, non-commercial reference, for example printing a soil preparation guide to use while working in your garden.

You may not reproduce, republish, redistribute, or otherwise commercially exploit content from this site without our prior written permission. This includes copying regional maps, product descriptions, or guidance text for use on another website or in another commercial publication.

5. Your Responsibilities

When preparing your garden and sowing a kit, you are responsible for following any safety guidance provided with your order, including guidance on the safe use of scarifying tools, rakes, or other equipment included in conversion kits. You are also responsible for checking any local rules or covenants that may apply to your property regarding lawn height, verge planting, or garden appearance before undertaking a full lawn-to-meadow conversion, particularly for front gardens or shared land.

You agree to provide accurate information when placing an order, including a correct delivery address and postcode, since regional kit matching depends on this information being correct.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unmow shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of a seed kit, planting map, or guide, including loss of enjoyment of a garden project, additional gardening costs, or the failure of a meadow to establish as anticipated. This does not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Our total liability in connection with any order shall not exceed the amount paid for that order.

7. Coaching, Webinars, and Events

Where you book a seasonal coaching session, join a community webinar, or attend a rewilding conference organised or hosted by Unmow, additional conditions specific to that event may apply and will be communicated to you at the time of booking. General guidance shared during coaching sessions or webinars is provided in good faith based on our team's experience and does not constitute a guarantee of any particular gardening outcome.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our products, services, or legal obligations. The version published on this page applies to your use of the site and to any order placed while that version is in effect.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising in connection with these terms or your use of the Unmow site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that may apply in your place of residence.
